The Slamar guesthouse, a magnificent country homestead built in 1857, lies in the midst of the breathtaking Bloke plateau. Explore this oasis of tranquility and unspoilt nature in the surroundings of the CerknicaLake by foot, bike or on horseback. Exhibited at the guesthouse is the ski equipment used by Slovenia’s first skiers, who came from the Bloke region. The Bloke skiers were first mentioned in 1689 by the Slovene writer, Janez Vajkard Valvasor, in his famous work »Glory of the Duchy of Carniola«.

The guesthouse offers a variety of homestyle dishes, such as buckwheat mush, cheese štruklji (dumplings) and žlikrofi (ravioli) with sage. You will also be served homemade brandy with herbs.

Archived records about the house, which is a protected cultural monument, date back to the 16th century and findings from recent excavations indicate that a Roman workshop – Fabrica was standing on the very site of the present hotel.
Characterised by elegant furnishing and interior decoration, the hotel is located in the very centre of the historic old part of Ljubljana under the castle hill on a peaceful and romantic square, yet amid of the tourist attractions, restaurants, pubs and shops. With a still and quiet yet cosy and domestic atmosphere, the antique house has selectively furnished rooms, which are large and highly comfortable, some with a terrace, all of the rooms have a beautiful view over the Gornji trg square or Ljubljanas castle.

The Ločnikar homestead lies in the village of Skomarje in the Pohorje hills. It is more than 400 years old and has preserved its typical village architecture. Guests can visit the cultural attractions in the village, go bathing in the nearby Zreče health spa, visit the Rogla ski center, and many other excursion points: Črno Lake, the Lovrenc Lakes, Mt. Brinjeva Gora. Guests can make themselves at home and help with the farm chores and cooking, or simply witness the making of such domestic delicacies as minced meat in lard, roast lamb and Pohorje omelet, and eat them, too The family also makes homemade blueberry brandy and natural juices, which go well with domestic dishes.

The Zdolsek homestead was built in 1824. In front of the homestead there is a huge garden, a fruit orchard and a gaily colored beehive attracting attention of every visitor. Nature-lovers might want to pick mushrooms and medicinal herbs or perhaps go fishing. Particularly interesting activities are available to children, who can learn about life on the farm and witness the making of domestic arts and crafts in neighbouring homes. Guests find it easy to relax in the peace and quiet of the Zdolsek country estate. Meanwhile, the family loves to pamper them with traditional dishes, as well as with wine from the home cellar.

The House of Tradition, which was built on Roman foundations, is located 4 km from Bled. It is surrounded by green pastures, woods and mountains (the latter belonging to the National park). According to the first documented record, the Mill, lying on the emerald Radovna river, dates back to 1004.
The Castles Mill, authentically renovated in a medieval rural style (black kitchen where food is prepared in a traditional Slovene peasant stove), provides overall cosy ambience and is particuraly appealing to guests expecting great comfort from their holiday facilities. At the confluence of the Cerknica and Idrijca rivers you can find the Želinc Tourist farm. It stretches over a ravine, away from the road noise, but still easy to access. Here you can rent bicycles, hike the nearby hills like Porezen (1630 m) and Blegoš (1562 m) or trek the surrounding plateaus, which are very convenient for daytrips. Numerous fishermen enjoy fishing in the Idrijca river and its nature, which is magically relaxing. In hot summer weather you can swim in our outdoor pool, read your favourite book in a cool shade, or play with your youngest in our meadows. In the winter months you can enjoy skiing at SC Cerkno. To make you winter vacation even more pleasant we built a smaller wellness resort. Evening time saunas or massage pools are especially pleasant after a day of skiing.

Homemade cold cuts, dairy and other products and home-grown vegetables will surely make for that true sense of the countryside. Our housewife only uses these ingredients when preparing all kinds of traditional and other dishes. The friendly Sorzev Mlin (Mill) homestead is in the village of Polze, between the Hudinja River and the millcourse. The nearby 700-year-old watermill still turns grain into flour. The homestead also boasts a ‘Venetian’ sawmill with a huge paddle-wheel, which is occasionally still operated by the landlord. Visitors can purchase whole-grain flour made from rye, buckwheat and corn, and of course, taste the delicious home-baked bread. Alternatively, you may make your own meals from vegetables and fruit grown on the farm.
The homestead is an ideal starting point for skiing at the Rogla ski centre and fishing on Smartinsko Lake. In addition, a neighbour will be happy to take you for a ride on his hay cart or horse-drawn carriage.

The Firbas country homestead is built in the typical architectural style of this part of Slovenia. This 160-year-old home lies on the top of a hill, slightly removed from its neighbors. The homestead includes a stable with horses, cattle, goats, rabbits and chickens, a fruit orchard, vineyard, and home-grown vegetables. The landlady prepares superb domestic dishes accompanied by homemade fruit juices and wine. Children are keen to help with the farm chores, go horseback riding or on horse-and-buggy rides. There is also a beach volleyball court, a small soccer field, and an archery area. Guests can hire a bike and set off to visit the numerous mineral springs and excursion points in the surroundings. Holidays in natures embrace Three of our apartments are located in the side wing of our homestead, surrounded by a lawn. Each has its own small lobby and a toilet, a living room with a kitchen and a gallery bedroom. There are 4 standard beds and 2 additional spare beds per apartment; there is also garden access and an atrium. There is another apartment on the first floor of the main homestead building which has a living room, a kitchen and two double-bedded bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. There are two spare beds in the living room. A stones throw away from the homestead is a little house with two bedrooms, a living room with a kitchen; the bathroom and toilet are in separated spaces. Your cars will be safe in our large underground garage.

The Plesnik family is one of the three oldest and most distinguished families in Logarska Dolina, and the pioneers of tourism in this breath-taking valley in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. The family prepares wine tastings in its cellar, where guests are served domestic delicacies, including cold cuts, milk products and homemade brandy. In a home atmosphere of good food and wine, the landlord tells guests about the history of the valley and its attractions, which may also be visited with a guide.
